So after what was (for me) a dismal display for 2012 (but made all the more better for the fact that our beautiful Daughter was born on Xmas day!)
I have already got plans in mind for the 2013 display. My list of projects to work on includes:
* Finish blue LED Icicle conversion from AC - DC controllable
* Finish creating 3-4 LED mini trees to be DC controllable
* Install RGB strip (or "pixels") along the roofline
* Replace my existing candy cane lights with DIY RGB canes similar to THESE
* Where possible, update existing incandescent items with LED globes and convert them to DC so they can be controlled.
I plan to have as little AC elements in the display as I can, but time/money/experience will determine if the 2013 display will be fully DC or a 50/50 mix.
I also want to ensure I spend a considerable time on sequencing the lights to some music tracks. I've purchased some outdoor speakers on clearance already so these can be placed in the yard so passers-by can hear the music the lights are flashing to.
Stay tuned for further updates throughout the year!
